Sartorialisms: Wear it - Live it.
Aurora (great name!) Sansone, assistant to Anna Dello Russo, before and after she got chilly (I'm guessing) and threw the shrunken tiny knit on top. Don't you just love the way she's put her hair up?

Lara does Jaeger
Jaeger London have just unveiled their ad campaign for AW09 featuring none other than the simply irreplaceable Lara Stone as shot by Emma Summerton on location at Somerset House.
Belinda Earl, Jaeger's Chief Executive, spoke of her delight to have secured one of the most sought-after models right now, "she's stylish, confident and chic and is a real woman, which is why we chose her."
In the first shot Lara is carrying the Miranda bag (£599) and wearing an ivory loop embroidered jacket (£299). In the second image she's wearing a 50's style ivory wool coat (£350), the striped leggings we saw on the catwalk (£70) and the Virginia bag (£399).

RIP Borders Oxford Str
I really didn't want to believe it so I went to have a look for myself. And sadly it's true. Borders on Oxford Street is closing down, apparently to be replaced by New Look. What? Why? And, why? I read about it on Disneyrollergirl and I actually panicked. Real panic and concern.
If by this point you're not sharing my panic let me explain why one single bookstore is so important to a freelancer (and magazine addict) like myself. For the past few months, twice a month, I would leave my desk in the grand name of 'research', walk through Regent's park to Oxford street and into Borders, head straight for the magazine section (one of the best in London may I say although not all international titles always made it) pick all the new titles I hadn't yet seen, take the escalator up to Starbucks, fight for a table by the window overlooking Oxford street, get a coffee and just flick through them, read them, make notes, take reference pictures with my phone, enjoy them. I know that Borders kidnly requested that you take no more than 5 each time but who did? Hours later I would put each one back and leave. There, research done.
Now what?

Sartorialisms: All that sparkles!
Doesn't it just make sooooo much sense that she would wear them all at once? It does to me, and this coming from a person that can't wear anything more than a big necklace or a bangle at once. And don't get me started about earrings! This also reminds me of that summer I went through when I was about 10 or 11 and decided to wear two watches together on the same arm. It just looked good, it made sense. Oh yeah, and I wore half of my short bob hair in a side ponytail too. Somehow, that didn't make sense!

Sartorialisms: Ciao Giovanna!
I absolutely love Giovanna Battaglia. I mean, how could you not? Every time I see a picture of her by The Sartorialist or Garance Doré my heart races faster (I know, I know!) and my face gets as close to my laptop screen as possible, to take in every little detail. Roll on Fashion Weeks!
